A Springville Library card gives you access to thousands of books, digital books, movies, story and discovery kits, as well as access to online databases and library computers. Springville City residents are eligible for free library accounts, and can check out up to 50 books and 10 DVDs at a time.

What do I need to get a library card?

Any resident of Springville City is eligible for a library card. Please bring a photo ID (driver’s license, school or military ID) and a piece of mail from the past three months that has your current Springville City address. A library account is free to set up, and is good for three years.

I live outside of Springville. Can I get a library card?

Yes!  If you live outside Springville city limits but wish to checkout materials from us, there is a $110 fee for a full year. That fee is good for a family consisting of parents or guardians and dependents for that year. The fee cannot be prorated, and there are no transfers or refunds. Please bring in your photo ID and a piece of mail from the past three months.

I teach at a Springville school. Can I get a library card?

Yes! If you teach at a local Springville school, bring in your current school ID and a piece of mail from the past three months and we can set you up with a library card good for one year. The account will need to be renewed every school year.

I live outside of Springville, but I own a Springville business. Can I get a library card?

Yes! If you own a business in Springville, bring in a copy of the business license and we can sign you up for a library account good for one year. The account will need to be renewed every year.

Can my child get a library card?

Yes! Children between 5 and 17 can get library cards that are associated with a parent or guardian’s library account. The parent or guardian is financially responsible for any lost, damaged, or overdue fees incurred on the child’s card.

What if I lose my library card?

Anything checked out on your card, and any possible fees incurred, are still your responsibility, so if you think your card is lost or stolen, please contact the library so we can put a block on the account so nothing can be checked out until you resolve the issue. A replacement card is $1.00.

My card is expired. What does that mean?

Our library cards expire every three years. This gives the library a chance to make sure all your information is correct. Your library card number will stay the same. To update your card, please stop in with your photo ID and a piece of mail from the past three months that has your current Springville City address.

What if I just want to use the computer and don’t want or can’t get a library card?

We offer guest passes good for 2 hours on our public computers for $1 each. They only work for the day they are purchased.
