The purpose of Code Enforcement is to provide the ability to Abate nuisances in order to protect the health and safety of the public, to foster neighborhood stability, to preserve the appearance, character and beauty of neighborhoods, to encourage community pride, to preserve the value of property, and to protect the general welfare of the City and its citizens, businesses and visitors.

Amended Street Parking Restrictions

  • Allows parking of a motor vehicle for up to 48 consecutive hours (April through October) on a City street.
  • Allows parking of a motor vehicle for up to 24 consecutive hours (November through March) on a City street.
  • Prohibits parking of an unhitched trailer on a City street.
  • Prohibits the parking of a motor vehicle or trailer in such a manner that blocks or inhibits pedestrian traffic on a sidewalk.
  • Prohibits the parking of a motor vehicle or trailer within the park strip of the roadway right-of-way.
  • Broadens and clarifies City Public Safety authority with regard to towing and/or impoundment of motor vehicles and trailers unlawfully parked.
